Principle
Magnetic flow meter, also referred to as mag flow meter or magmeter, is a volumetric flow meter that measures liquids or liquid slurries that have a minimum conductivity of 5 µS/cm. Magnetic flow meters will typically not work with hydrocarbons, distilled water, non-aqueous solutions and non-conductive solutions.

It is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction and is used to measure the volume flow rate of conductive1 liquid with conductivity greater than 5 µ s I cm. It is an induction instrument for measuring the volume flow rate of conductive medium in addition to measuring the volume flow, rate 0f general conductive liquid, it can also be used to measure the volume flow rate of liquid-solidi two-phase suspension such as strong acid and strong alkali, mud, pulp and so on.
